Marcos Georgiades is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, a graduate of Queen Mary College of the University of London with a degree in law (LL.B.) and a Bachelor of Civil Law degree (B.C.L.) from Worcester College of Oxford University.
Before practicing in Cyprus he worked with Slaughter and May in London where he was mainly involved with corporate, stock exchange related and banking work.
He has been in practice in Cyprus since 1989. He has been engaged in drafting project financing and security documentation for local and offshore banks as well as in relation to multi currency loan facility agreements, margin account trading and obtaining of security over movable property.
He has been involved with the introduction of companies to the Cyprus Stock exchange and is experienced in conducting private and public takeovers. His skills include the establishment of sophisticated joint venture structures through the use of Cyprus vehicles and the drafting of distributorship agreements and other commercial contracts.
He is conversant with computer software licensing and has advised the licensors of the Cyprus Stock Exchange.
He has also been involved in advising on Cyprus competition law issues.

Phivos Pelides is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and has worked with Sheridans in London during which he was mainly involved with the protection of the intellectual property rights of well known singers and pop groups as well as litigation involving commercial disputes.
He has been in practice in Cyprus since 1982 and has a very strong litigation background having acted for a number of banks, insurance companies and other corporate and private clients in their court actions. He also specialises in labour law and has extensive experience in litigating before the Industrial Disputes Tribunal.
He regularly advises on all matters relating to probate and administration of estates, including advising on inheritance tax and advice to executors and trustees. He also acts as an executor and trustee.

Marios Pelides is a Barrister of Lincoln’s Inn and a graduate of the University of London with a degree in law (LL.B).
He has been in practice in Cyprus since 1984 and has a broad range of corporate, commercial and litigation experience. His main area of work is corporate law, concentrating on public and private mergers and acquisitions, competition, IPO’s, flotations and regulatory/compliance work. He also regularly advises on franchising, licensing, agency, distribution and trade mark agreements.
He has been involved in the establishment of insurance companies in Cyprus including branch offices and advises insurance companies on a wide range of issues including regulatory framework, run-off’s, insurance product drafting as well as on liability and quantum.
He is conversant with the telecommunications and postal services laws and regularly advises in relation to the provision of telecommunications, satellite and internet services in Cyprus.

Nicos Georgiades is a Barrister of the Middle Temple. He is a graduate of Queen Mary College of the University of London with a degree in law (LL.B.).
He has a very strong litigation background having acted for a number of banks, insurance and shipping companies and other corporate and private clients in their court actions. He also has extensive experience and specializes in the urgent handling of cases involving the taking of interim measures to freeze assets within the jurisdiction of the Cypriot courts. He also has a wide experience in patent and trade marks law and has represented a number of multinational companies in passing-off and trade marks infringement actions.
He is a director of a number of private companies and legal adviser to a number of private and public companies engaged in hotel ownership, management and other related activities in the tourism industry. He has thus acquired a working knowledge of the characteristics and needs of the industry and has dealt with a host of issues which arise in the day to day operations of companies operating in this area, including property-related projects.
In 2001 he has advised the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission in relation to the most complex investigation carried out by the Commission in the affairs of public company listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange.
On the 22 nd of April, 1998 he was appointed as an advisor to the chairman and as a member of the political bureau of the “Democratic Rally Party”. He was also a member of the board of directors of Cyprus Airways.

Panayiota Elia is an advocate practicing in Cyprus since 1994. She is a graduate of the University of Essex with a degree in law (LL.B.) and of the London School of Economics of the University of London with a post graduate degree in law (LL.M.).
