Panayiota Elia

Panayiota Elia is a graduate of the University of Essex with a degree in law (LL.B.) and a post graduate degree in law (LL.M.) from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has been in practice in Cyprus since 1995 and joined the firm in 1997.

Panayiota’s main areas of practice are banking, corporate and commercial law. She has extensive experience in international financing transactions involving Cyprus borrowers, security providers and guarantors including the drafting of loan and security documentation. She also advises local banks and has been involved in restructurings of local loans. She has performed a number of due diligence exercises over Cyprus companies. She has also advised in relation to ISDA master agreements and related documentation and on questions relating to company corporate governance and winding up.
